Ravi Wijewantha appointed to Board of John Keells Plc

• To take over additional responsibilities as CFO of JKH Plantation Services Sector as well as oversight responsibilities over John Keells IT and Infomate

Ravi Wijewantha has been appointed to the Board of John Keells PLC as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July.

Wijewantha joined the John Keells Group in September 2003 and was appointed as Sector Financial

Controller of the Property Industry Group in July 2006 and Chief Financial Officer of the same Industry Group in July 2017. He is a member of the Group Operating Committee of the John Keells Group and will be taking over additional responsibilities as the Chief Financial Officer of the Plantation Services Sector as well as oversight responsibilities over John Keells IT and Infomate with effect from 1 July 2024.

He has over 25 years of experience in the fields of auditing and accounting. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and holds an MBA from ICFAI University Dehradun India. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Law (LLM) from Buckinghamshire New University.

With the latest appointment the Board of John Keells will comprise Krishan Balendra (Chairperson), A.K. Gunawardhana, B.A.I. Rajakarier, C.N. Wijewardane, J.G.A. Cooray, A.Z. Hashim, K.D. Weerasinghe and R. Wijewantha.
