A pioneer manufacturer of paints and coatings ‘Robbialac’ was awarded the ‘Green Label Product’ certification for its range of Premium Interior and Exterior Emulsions Collection of paints which consists of both Robbialac Brilliant White and Colours.
This prestigious accolade was presented by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka, at the 11th Annual Green Building Award Ceremony 2022 (AGBA 2022) organised by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka.
Renown in the market for its brilliant white emulsion paints, the brand Robbialac is synonymous with decorative coatings such as interior/exterior emulsion paints, enamels, warranty coating systems, epoxy flooring, wood care products, water proofing coatings and tailor-made coatings for special applications.
The Premium Emulsions Collection which was recognised at this prestigious event has low volatile organic compounds, low heavy metals and low lead content which meet the guidelines specified by the World Green Building Council. This means it helps reduce the heavy metal concentrations in our surroundings instating a safer solution by reducing the interaction with harmful substances benefiting both humans as well as the environment.
The 2022 Green Building Award Ceremony was organised in collaboration with the World Green Building Council and was held at Earl’s Regency Hotel – Kandy on 18 December with the presence of esteemed delegates with the objective of encouraging, recognising and awarding the owners of Green Certified Buildings, Green Labelled Products, newly passed out Associate/Accredited Professionals, and business leaders committed to adapt green business practices.
The Green Building Council of Sri Lanka has been conducting the Green Building Awards for the past 11 years with the objective of recognising and rewarding companies that enhance green building practices in Sri Lanka.
This year’s conference saw over 350 local and foreign participants including engineers, architects, Government representatives/policy makers, building owners, building and property developers, suppliers, town planners, associate green professionals, civil, mechanical and electrical consultants, contractors, academics and students.
At a time when sustainability of both human lives and environment has been a grave concern, this conference creates precedence, enhancing and motivating organisations to adapt green building practices in Sri Lanka.
The 2022 event was organised by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the World Green Building Council, Green Building Council Australia, Singapore Green building Council, India Green Building Council, Malaysia Green Building Council, Pakistan Green Building Council, Taiwan Green Building Council and Hong Kong Green Building Council.
