Rosy inspires women professionals at Soroptimist’s 44th AGM

Soroptimist International of Colombo is a vibrant organisation of women in professions and management, working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. They’re committed to inspire action and create opportunities to transform the lives of women and girls, to achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.

Chartered in April 1974, the Advocacy work of Soroptimists has extended across the areas of Education, Economic Empowerment, Food Security and Healthcare, Violence and Conflict Resolution and Environmental Sustainability, linking them to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. During the 44 years of their service to the community, they have also helped to rehabilitate the victims of natural disasters.
