Colombo Paradise Round Table 5 Sri Lanka successfully concluded the 2nd Round Table 5 Business Forum, CPRT5’s annual fundraising event in collaboration with INSEAD Business School on 22 February. This edition conducted by Prof. Paul Kewene-Hite was focused on Family Business and Corporate Entrepreneurship.

The event consisting of two programs was a great success, the first, designed specifically for owners of family businesses was titled Empowering the Next Generation. It addressed challenges faced by such businesses, including the issue of the inter-generational gap and discussed forms of gap thinking and how to bridge the gaps so that future generations to follow will be empowered.

The second titled Corporate Entrepreneurship Training – Fostering Entrepreneurial Thinking within Family Business, Local Corporates and MNCs saw Prof. Paul Kewene-Hite utilising his proprietary 18-Step Framework for Corporate Entrepreneurship taking participants through a step-by-step process for creating new business initiatives inside an existing company.

Prof. Paul Kewene-Hite is the Affiliate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise and a multiple-award winner of the INSEAD Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He is the creator of INSEAD’s Start-up Bootcamp and lead Professor on INSEAD’s popular elective ‘Your First Hundred Days’ which teaches students how to turn around a failing company.

The Business Forum was made possible by Hirdaramani Group, main sponsor of the RT5 Business Forum for the second year running, along with HNB, Echelon Magazine, Eureka, Frontier Research, O2 Store and Redline Media who also sponsored this year’s event. Net Proceeds from the event went towards Colombo Paradise Round Table 5’s charity fund which will in turn be used for upcoming charity projects.
