SAARC CCI President Ruwan Edirisinghe will be leading a delegation from SAARC member states to New Delhi, India from 1-3 July. He will be accompanied by SAARC CCI Vice Presidents, representatives from Federation/National Chambers of member states and Secretary General SAARC CCI, Hina Saeed. During the visit they will meet high level officials from Government of India and the private sector representatives.
The President led delegation will attend the SAARC Development Fund Partnership Conclave 2018 on Regional Integration through Project Collaboration and Investments scheduled on 2-3 July, at India International Centre, New Delhi, India. The event has Strategic and Regional importance in South Asia. The conclave aims to solicit cross boarder project co financing under the social, economic & infrastructure windows of SDF in SAARC member states and building partnership with various organisations for fund mobilisation and investments in SAARC member states. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Government of India will be the Chief Guest for the Conclave.
SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry an apex body of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is mandated to promote economic cooperation in South Asia and has augmented the efforts of SAARC to achieve the milestones of regional integration. SAARC CCI believes that intra-regional investment, intra-regional trade and joint ventures among the SAARC member states is the way forward to address the key challenges the region faces i.e. poverty and job creation.
