SLBC UAE engages in high-level talks with President

Dubai, UAE: The Sri Lanka Business Council UAE (SLBC UAE) held a high-level meeting with President Anura K. Dissanayake on Wednesday, 12 February, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The SLBC UAE delegation was led by Chairman Suren Swaminathan and included five distinguished lifelong members: a founding member, former Chairman, and Eminent Senior Advisor to the Board Farook Kassim, Eminent Senior Advisor Gamini Kannangara, Director of Investment Promotion M. Rusan Fyroze, Dunstan Rozairo and June Manoharan.

President Dissanayake was accompanied by Governor Hanif Yusoof and Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath. Also present were, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Dubai Alexis Gunasekara and Sri Lankan Embassy in Abu Dhabi Chargé d’Affaires Thakshila Arnolda.

The meeting served as a pivotal platform for strengthening trade, investment, and economic collaboration between Sri Lanka and the UAE. Discussions centred on enhancing bilateral business relations, attracting investment opportunities, and expanding support for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and professionals in the region.
