Setting new standards for research conferences, the SLIIT Business School is conducting the International Conference on Sustainable and Digital Business (ICSDB) 2024 for the third consecutive year.
The inauguration of the conference and ICSDB Excellence Awards ceremony will be held at the Water’s Edge hotel on 10 December.
Prof. Oliver Gassmann from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and Prof. Marco Greco from University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Italy will deliver the keynote speeches. The globally renowned inventor, USA Leo Med LLC CEO and President Dr. Bandula Wijay will also address the audience comprising over 75 CXOs from the industry and an equal number of academics from different universities.
Speaking to our newspaper, SLIIT Business School Dean Prof. Suren Peter said that ICSDB conference and the excellence awards have become a sought-after event by business firms. The efforts of authorities and business firms in creating a sizeable digital economy in Sri Lanka justify the importance of this conference. Our ability to create a meaningful dialogue between the practicing managers from industry and the researchers on contemporary topics in sustainable and digital business can create a big impact, he added.
Day two of the conference will facilitate many researchers presenting their papers under five tracks at the university. SLIIT is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and has become the largest non-state university in Sri Lanka. With a conscious effort on creating new knowledge through impactful research, SLIIT is currently ranked within the top five universities, among both State and non-State universities in Sri Lanka.
