Saktha Amaratunga appointed to Carson’s Board

Top professional A. Saktha Amaratunga has been appointed to the Board of Carson Cumberbatch Plc as a Non-Executive Independent Director.

Saktha Amaratunga is a member of the Hemas Holdings Board, Chair of the Hemas Holdings Audit Committee and a Commissioner of PT Agro Indomas Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Carson Cumberbatch Group.

Previously, Amaratunga was the Regional Audit Controller (Asia Pacific) for British American Tobacco (BAT) and has over 20 years’ experience with BAT having performed senior finance roles for the group in Sri Lanka and the UK and also being the Finance Director of BAT Operations in the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Japan and Malaysia (IT Shared Services Organisation).

He has many years of experience in strategy development, business restructuring, risk and governance, international finance and people development. Amaratunga is a Fellow Member of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and Member of CPA Australia.
