Saman Srilal appointed to Millennium Housing Developers Board

Saman Srilal has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of Millennium Housing Developers Plc.

Srilal FCA, FCMA, MBA (USQ), FMAAT, FFA, ACCA, ACMA (AUS) is a Fellow and Council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

He serves as a Chairman of the International Audit Committee and Taxation and Transfer Pricing Committee of IECnet, France. Srilal is the Managing Partner of RTA Sri Lanka (Ratnayake T A and Co) which has its branches in Kurunegala, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, and Ratnapura.

He is a Fellow member of the ICASL, holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland of Australia, Reading for the MBAT of the Postgraduate Institute of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also a fellow member of the Certified Management Accountants and a fellow member of the Institute of Public Accountants in Australia.

He is the Chairman of the Regional Conference Committee, Journal Committee, Capacity Building of CASME task force, and alternate Chairman for the Tax School and Examinations Committee. He also serves as a Tax Faculty, Financial Reporting Standard Implementation Task Force (FRSIITF), Student Training Committee, National Conference Committee, CPD Committee, Members Relations Committee, and Executive member of the CASME task force.

He has gained professional experience overseas other than his professional experience in Sri Lanka working in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Southern African Region spanning several years.

He has gained over 25 years of experience locally and internationally in practice (auditing) and industry with exposure to finance, banking, plantation, insurance, taxation, company secretarial services, corporate finance, forensics, and business process outsourcing.

With the latest appointment the Board of Directors of Millennium Housing Developers comprises Harshith Dharmadasa (Chairman), V.R. Ramanan (Deputy Chairman), G. De Zoysa, U.H. Palihakkara, K.C.C. Perera, A.S. Samarasinghe, J. Rudra and S. Srilal.
