Singer announces 3 new Executive Directors on Board

Singer Sri Lanka PLC has announced the appointment of Shalinka Seresinhe, Thulitha Mendis and Vajira Tennakoon as Executive Directors to the Board of the company with effect from 1 April.

Seresinhe currently serves as Director-Finance in Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC and counts over 1S years of experience in the field of Finance holding senior positions at top corporates after his initial accounting and auditing experience at Ernst & Young.

He is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Chartered Institute of Management Accounts – UK.

Mendis currently serves as Director-Commercial in Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC and counts over 20 years of experience in the field of Sourcing, Commercial Negotiations and Supply Chain areas. He has held positions in local and foreign banks prior to joining Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC.

He holds a MBA from the Cardiff Metropolitan University UK. He is the incumbent Chairman of the Import Section of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (‘CCC’) and Past Chairman of the Sri Lanka-China Business Council of CCC.

Tennakoon currently serves as Director Sales in Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC and counts over 27 years of experience in the field of Marketing, Retail and Sales including two years of experience at Singer Bangladesh in the position of Marketing Director.

He holds a MBA in the University of Southern Queensland Australia. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and holds Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the University of Southern Queensland Australia.
