Singer is ‘Peoples Brand of the Year’ for 14th consecutive year

  • Also wins ‘Consumer Durables Brand of the Year’

The people of Sri Lanka have once again voted for the country’s premier consumer durables retailer Singer as the ‘Peoples Brand of the Year’ for the 14th consecutive time at the recently-concluded SLIM Nielsen Peoples Awards ceremony held at Waters Edge. 

In addition, Singer also won the ‘Peoples Durable Brand of the Year’ award for the 14th consecutive year, further asserting its market leadership throughout the island and years of continuous trust placed by its consumers. 

Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards allows the general public to name a host of their favourite entities, such as brands, personalities, advertisements, films and teledramas that have made a significant impression in their minds during the past year. 

The selection of award winners was based on an island-wide survey covering all districts with the participation of over 5,000 males and females between ages of 15 and 60. What is unique about the survey is that people are granted the opportunity of voting for their desired brands which certainly leads to a true reflection of which brands have the highest consumer base.
