Somerset Estate achieves all-time record price

Somerset Estate achieved an equal all-time record price of Rs. 1,900 per kg for a PEKOE grade in the Western High Region at this week’s Colombo Tea Auctions held on 19 and 20 April.

Somerset Estate is ISO 22000:2018/14001:2015/ISO 14064-1:2018 and Rainforest Alliance certified.

This estate is managed by Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC, a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC under the stewardship of Regional General Manager, Kosala Wijesekara who was instrumental in achieving this feat.
