The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka organised and inaugurated the Sri Lanka Pavilion at the prestigious 71at Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair on 22 February.
The pavilion showcased an impressive lineup of 35 leading Sri Lankan gem and jewellery companies across 46 booths, highlighting Sri Lanka’s reputation as a global leader in the gem and jewellery industry.
During the fair, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka Wijayanthi Edirisinghe actively engaged with Sri Lankan exporters, providing them with valuable opportunities for networking and discussing future collaborations.
The 71st Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair, one of Asia’s most renowned trade shows, provided a vital platform for Sri Lankan companies to connect with global buyers, explore new markets, and strengthen trade ties.
The Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand Director General Sumed Prasongpongchai, Deputy Director Sitthichai Parinyanusorn and Embassy Counsellor – Commercial Vireshika Bandara also attended the inauguration of the Sri Lanka pavilion. Representatives of the Thai-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce along with Sri Lankan exhibitors were also presented.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion drew significant attention from international buyers, traders, and industry experts, enhancing the visibility of Sri Lankan products and contributing to the strengthening of trade and economic relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
