Sri Lanka-Pakistan Business Council hosts B2B meetings with Pakistan pharmaceutical delegation

The Sri Lanka-Pakistan Business Council (SLPBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted a B2B meeting with a pharmaceutical business delegation from Pakistan on 19 February, at Hilton Colombo Residencies.

The delegation comprised 16 leading pharmaceutical companies from Pakistan, along with key state sector institutions, including the Export Development Board (EDB), Board of Investment (BOI), and the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka. The event also saw the participation of leading Sri Lankan corporate representatives.

The session was graced by Major General (R) Faheem Ul Aziz, HI (M), High Commission of Pakistan in Colombo Trade and Investment Attaché Mahwash Sami, and other distinguished High Commission staff. The delegation was led by Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Lahore Yasin Joiya.The B2B session provided a valuable platform for participants to engage in one-on-one discussions, exploring investment opportunities, joint ventures, and collaborations in the pharmaceutical sector.

In his address, SLPBC President Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksha emphasised the importance of exchange delegations and maintaining close business ties between the two countries. He highlighted the need for consistent engagement in trade and investment to unlock the full potential of the Sri Lanka-Pakistan partnership.
