Sri Lanka represented at Manipal University Dubai International Conference

The international conference in Dubai, UAE on ‘Opportunities and Challenges in Business Management’ was organised by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai in association with Manipal International University (MIU), Malaysia and Manipal Institute of Management (MIM), India, on 25 and 26 February. The objective of the conference was to bring various paradigms of opportunities and challenges in the discipline of business management into one platform. 

Sri Lanka was represented by Talal Rafi and Thasim Rafi who were Session Chair and Keynote Speaker respectively. Talal Rafi chaired three sessions on the topics ‘A Study on Impact of social media on consumer behaviour on Youth’, ‘Global Branding and competitive advantage: A VRIO framework advantage’ and ‘Soft skills essential in higher education in management to sustain in the future workplace’. Thasim Rafi gave the keynote speech on the topic ‘Entrepreneurship in a global context’. 

The two speakers were invited by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Dubai to give insights from an entrepreneurial perspective.
