The ICF Colombo Chapter is organising Sri Lanka’s first Professional Coaching Conference from 17 to 19 October 2023 at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
The event is centred on the theme, “Coaching for Human Connectedness – A Call for Meaningful Conversations” and will focus on four key segments: Conversations for Change, Conversations for Collaboration, Conversations for Compassion and Conversations for Results.
Speaking about the thought behind the conference theme, ICF Colombo Chapter President and Conference Chair Dayalanie Abeygunawardene said: “Authentic connections create positive energy leading to increased productivity, job satisfaction and overall wellbeing. This naturally creates an environment that generates understanding, inclusiveness and trust. These are essentials for any ecosystem to thrive, particularly in the current post-pandemic and economically stressed context, where connections have become remote, and relationships need to be strengthened. The Coaching Conference is centred around this theme and is an effort to create greater awareness of the impact professional coaching can create.”
The inaugural day of the conference will feature eminent speakers and will provide networking opportunities with local and international coaches, business, and functional leaders. The second day, which is the full-day conference, will provide participants with the opportunity to listen to and engage with ICF-credentialed speakers who will be sharing their own thought leadership and experiences. Participants will also gain insights through the experiential learning segments throughout the day. The third day of the conference is dedicated to a morning of deepening awareness about the art and science of coaching, coaching techniques, and the opportunities coaches as well as aspiring coaches have, to pursue coaching professionally.
The Conference will be graced by senior leaders of the ICF, several internationally accredited coaches and business leaders in Sri Lanka, who have embedded coaching successfully into their organisations. The Chapter believes that this inaugural conference will provide an audience of over 200 local and international participants with the opportunity to learn, experience and translate the value of coaching into their work and life.
The Executive Committee of the Chapter encourages all coaches, coach enthusiasts, business leaders and anyone interested in understanding the art and science of coaching and the impact it can have, to attend the conference. The Chapter announced that registrations are now open to local and foreign participants. Prospective participants can now avail themselves of more details and purchase tickets via the conference website: https://icfcolombo.com/conference/
