China International Import and Export Fair 2022 (Canton Fair), organised as a hybrid event with the participation of companies all over the world, got underway on 15 October 2022.
The International Pavilion of the event is organised through an online platform due to the prevailing travel restrictions in China and it consists 50 different sections under 16 categories.
The 132nd Canton Fair has expanded the scope of exhibitors to provide a more diversified range of choices for global buyers and attracted 10,000 new exhibitors to the original 25,000 companies.
In the meantime, the fair will continue to set up a cross-border e-commerce zone and create a synergy with e-commerce platforms.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Guangzhou, China organises Sri Lanka’s participation at the China International Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). A total of 40 Sri Lankan SME companies have been listed in the online platform under different product categories such as food, apparel, gardening items, household products and personal care.
The online exhibition platform was officially launched on 15 October 2022, and the products will be available at the website for the next six months (till 15 March 2023).
