Technomedics International strengthens leadership through appointment of new Executive Director

Technomedics International Ltd., a pioneer in advancing Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, has announced the appointment of Leshani Samaradiwakara into the role of Executive Director effective from 2 April 2025.

A dynamic leader, Samaradiwakara brings with her vast expertise in entrepreneurship, innovation management and strategic leadership. Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, she held the position of Business Unit Head at Technomedics International Ltd. Samaradiwakara is also a Director at JF & I Packaging (Kenya). Her impressive track record of successfully guiding business operations and developing organisational excellence makers her an invaluable addition to the Board of Directors.

Samaradiwakara also significant achievements in academia including an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from Loughborough University, London, and a BA in Economics from Carleton University, Ontario, Canada. Additionally, she is also a qualified professional under the CGMA Finance Leadership Program from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK. To further enhance her leadership credentials, Samaradiwakara has also undergone advance executive training at Harvard University, EY’s NextGen Academy, (Family Business Academy), and INSEAD where her specialities included strategic leadership, influence and organisational transformation.

In addition to her professional roles, Samaradiwakara is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, which is an initiative designed to nurture young business leaders. Her deep commitment to fostering the growth of emerging entrepreneurs not only contributes to Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, but it also aligns with Technomedics International’s mission to cultivate future industry leaders.

Her role as Executive Director will be instrumental in shaping the organisations strategic direction, managing risks, driving business expansion and ensuring its alignment with the Family Constitution.
