‘The Green Economy and Sustainable Development: Towards a New Research and Policy Agenda’

The 2nd International Conference on Economics and Development 2018 (economicconference.co) will be held on 20 to 21 June in Colombo, Sri Lanka under the theme called ‘The Green Economy and Sustainable Development: Towards a New Research and Policy Agenda’. ‘ICED 2018’ is a great platform for academic persons, practitioners, industry experts, policy makers and researchers. The Conference is organised by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (www.tiikm.com) and is hosted by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in collaboration with Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Bidhan Chandra Agricultural University, India and KL University, India as the academic partners of the Conference. 

The Conference is chaired by Dr. Sumudu Perera, Head of Department and senior lecturer from Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The keynote forum will be represented by Prof. Robin Hahnel, American Economist from United States and Prof. Dr. Moha Asri Abdullah from International Islamic University Malaysia. The Conference will have many areas that will enhance your knowledge in the form of networking sessions, workshops, key discussion sessions, networking dinner with a cultural show and many more.This will be a valuable gathering for all the stake holders including academics, practitioners, industry experts, policy makers and researchers, in the field of economics. 

The non-presenting audience not only gets the opportunity to listen to the keynote speeches, and other insights shared by the top speakers, but also will get the opportunity of sharing their own ideas and insights at the Q and A sessions. In addition, the attendees will be exposed to several networking opportunities with both the corporate and academic persons.

The participants and the best presenters will be awarded at the awarding ceremony that will take place in the Conference Closure session as a means of recognising their valuable contribution towards the field of economics.
