WSO2 launches free six-month training program in Linux System Administration and DevOps

Program will leverage WSO2’s experience in managing Linux-based infrastructure and cloud technologies to offer critical skills and practical knowledge to participants

WSO2, has announced a free six-month training program in Linux System Administration and DevOps Engineering.

This program aims to equip 200 participants with critical skills required to thrive in today’s evolving tech industry.

With 20 years of expertise in open-source technology, WSO2 aims to bridge skills gaps in the industry by providing deeper knowledge of system administration and DevOps engineering to students, and additional training to IT professionals specialising in this field.

Program highlights

Duration: Six months (Starting 1 May, 2025)
Mode of delivery: Virtual via Zoom
Session schedule: Thursdays and Fridays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Eligibility: IT professionals seeking to upskill, undergraduates interested in Linux Systems or DevOps careers, and individuals looking to transition into this field
Training Areas: Linux administration, networking concepts, containerisation (Docker), Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, security, IT law, platform engineering, and more
Additional benefits: Sessions on communication skills, leadership mentoring, teamwork, and career guidance.

Participants will gain hands-on exposure to the latest technologies and industry best practices. The course structure includes over 50 hours of live online instruction and requires an additional over 200 hours of practical exercises. The final two months will involve a group project, providing participants with real-world experience.

Registration is open until 17 March. Interested applicants must submit a 300-word self-introduction and selection will be based on applicants’ performance in a Linux exam. The top 200 candidates will be chosen for the program.
