Wayamba Printpack MD Nashad Nawas awarded ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2018’ by FCCISL

Wayamba Printpack Ltd. Managing Director Nashad Nawas has been awarded the National and Provincial (North Western Province) level Young Entrepreneur of the Year – 2018 with a Gold Award in Extra Large Category in the field of industries and productions at the Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2018, 23rd annual awarding ceremony at BMICH organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Sri Lanka.

Latterly in 2016, Wayamba Printpack Ltd. confronted the misfortune caused by a fire accident which led to the destruction of the entire business property including buildings and machineries. Nevertheless, Nashad Nawas challenged a very competitive packaging industry within a short period and accomplished the targets much more successfully than ever before, a mark of excellence on its own. His positive futuristic focus led him to re-establish the business and start the productions once again just after four months and the fact that they could, was a victory in the very sense of the word to have been able to stabilise the business within a short period of time following the complete destruction and to have seized the award for the Most Excellent Young Entrepreneur soon after two years from the tragedy. 

Furthermore, the company also has acquired Wayamba Wijayabhimani Award by Industrial Service Bureau (ISB) in 2013, 2015, 2018 for Best Productive Enterprise and Best Enterprise in the region, further, Gold, Silver awards at Lanka Star Award by Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP) ceremony in the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 besides, Wayamba Printpack Ltd. has plucked Sri Lankan Entrepreneur award in 2013 and CNCI Excellence award in 2014.
