Webinar on essential labour laws by CNCI

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the Voice of Industry has scheduled a two-day webinar on Essential Labour Laws for the public and private sector employees to be conducted on 29 and 30 April from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

According to the Chamber sources, the webinar has been organised on the requests it has received from some of its member companies and the CNCI had also identified that many employees responsible for Human Resource Management in organisations were in need of developing in many areas such as laws related to various categories of employment, employee rights, employer-employee relations and recent and proposed amendments to the labour laws. 

CNCI Secretary General Abeyratne Muthugala mentioned that it would be an interesting webinar and believes that it would benefit not only the private sector organisations, but also many other public sector organisations and invited relevant and interested individuals to register for the webinar that will be highly useful to update themselves in the important areas of the labour laws which we all have to deal with. 

The scheduled two-day webinar will be conducted in Sinhala medium and the Resource Person will be former Additional Commissioner General of Labour P.S.
