Yet another all-time record price for Kenilworth Estate  

Kenilworth Estate 

Kenilworth Estate located in Ginigathhena, re-established an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 8 February 2022. An attractive price of Rs. 1,600 per kg for a BOP grade, in the Western Medium Grown Category was achieved, surpassing the previous record of Rs. 1,200 per kg for a BOP grade, which was obtained at the tea auction held on 18 January. 

     This line of tea was purchased by Finlays Colombo Ltd. Renowned for producing Superior High-quality teas, Kenilworth Estate is managed by Hatton Plantations PLC and the teas were marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.
