AB Securitas wins Merit Award at National Quality Awards 2014

AB Securitas Ltd, the leading private security and secure transport service provider in Sri Lanka is being honoured with the Merit Award for Service Sector (Large Scale) in Sri Lanka, at National Quality Awards 2014 which was held at BMICH Colombo on 3 December 2014. Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Sarath Amunugama graced the function as the Chief Guest where Ambassador for Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Jurgen Morhard and Secretary to the Ministry of Technology and Research Dhara S. Wijayatilake also participated as special guests.
National Quality Awards is organised by Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), the national Standards Body of Sri Lanka every year in order to recognise the Sri Lankan Organisations that excel in quality management and quality achievement. The National Quality Award recognises quality excellence based on the world renowned Malcolm Baldrige model. It is judged by a panel of industry experts/business leaders against an in-depth scoring criterion covering seven key areas namely leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, workforce engagement, operational focus and results.
AB Securitas Ltd is the first Sri Lankan security company to obtain ISO 9001 certification for quality management and only Security Company to posses BS OHSAS 18001 Certification for health and safety which is a clear indication of its commitment towards a high quality service to their customers and other stake holders. The company is in operation over two decades leading its way in Static Security, Cash in Transit, Cash Management, ATM Management and Electronic Security and has Island wide presence with fully fledged Cash Management Centres in Anuradhapura and Matara.
