Abans Engineering Ltd, a member of the Abans Group of companies, was established in 1994 as Abans Ltd-Central AC & Engineering. The company has been in operation for 20 years with an experienced and professional team for designing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of HVAC Central Air conditioning Systems. The business has transformed to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) with revenue of Rs. 2 billion and the growth rate for the last three years consecutively increased over 100%. As a result Abans Group decided to separate Engineering Services to give a better service to their customers. Abans Engineering has exclusive distributorship for Trane Ingersoll – Chillers, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units and unitary products with a newly introduced range of VRF air conditioning systems. Abans has been servicing these products for the last 20 years.

Over 150 trained, experienced engineers with technical staff to prepare design drawings, BOQs and test reports are engaged in providing efficient and quality service to customers for both applied and unitary air conditioning systems with back up services of fully equipped, ultra modern workshop, and on call services. All Service Engineers have many years’ hands on experience and undergone training regularly to update in modern technology developments. Trane brand is world renowned and ranks among the first three in the world in HVAC systems. Trane Chillers are popular in application of large hotel chains, airports, hospitals, and shopping malls, because of its reliability, ruggedness and efficiency. Product Engineering and R & D is developed considering overall impact on the environment, taking both Ozone Depletion (ODP) and Global Warming Potential (GWP) into consideration. Abans are agents for Mitsubishi-Electric, a world renowned brand of Split ACs-Inverter/ Non Inverter, VRF & Packages and newly developed VRF Water Cooled units with high COPs. Abans - sole agent for LG range of products including Split AC Inverter/non Inverter, VRF (Air-cooled and Water-cooled with highest COP for VRF units) and household appliances. Abans Engineering Ltd. is the exclusive Sri Lanka representative for MESAN Cooling Towers and Hyundai – Elevators, Escalators, Tarvellators and Moving Walkers and is the sole distributor for Kipor and Perkins Generators in Sri Lanka. Abans have their own training facility, namely LG Academy, for developing Engineering skills of Engineers and Technical Staff. The Academy is manned by experienced foreign and local competent trainers in the field of Air Conditioning. The LG Academy conducts classes for NVQ 4 and undertakes CSR projects to develop skills of technicians in rural areas where the facility is not available to obtain theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The company completed 35 large scale chiller installations in the year 2013 and in year 2012 completed 32 chiller installations. Company also provides AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with a comprehensive warranty for one year.
