ACCA to hold learning providers conference

The ACCA Learning Providers' conference is scheduled for the 20 and 21 July at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, with the aim of strengthening links between ACCA and quality tuition providers, allowing best practice to be shared and access to a range of promotional opportunities. This conference provides an ideal opportunity for participating learning providers to network with representatives from Approved Learning Partners for both student tuition and content.

Attending this unique conference will provide the participants to learn more  about  ACCA resources and future plans discuss best practices for teaching and assessment methodologies gain insight into examiner feedback on student exam performance network with tutors from around the region and ACCA representatives formally during workshop sessions and informally during breaks  to gain their tips and approaches to the ACCA examinations first hand, identify challenges and initiate solutions to help improve exam performance and understand the benefits of being an Approved Learning Partner  including the resources and support available.

The programme consists of workshops that will cover important  subject areas for learning providers such as, effective delivery and course design (including learning styles) student engagement, worked examples and assessments, marketing ACCA qualifications and exploring best practices, motivating students, teaching techniques and examiner tips of different papers and overcoming challenges and exploring opportunities.

Commenting on the conference ACCA Sri Lanka Country Manager Aruni Rajakarier said:  “ACCA has organised this conference ,as a part of their continued efforts to develop excellence in professional accounting education and establish best practices amongst ACCA’s education providers. We are confident it will be a common platform for ACCA tuition  providers to discuss the existing and emerging teaching practices that nurture  talent and are aligned to industry’s business models.”

The learning providers conference is a part of ACCA’s initiatives to ensure that their learning providers adhere to the highest standards to provide students with the best possible chance of success, she added.
