A delegation comprising of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice Chairman Wencai Zhang made a special inspection tour at the Port of Colombo recently this month. He was accompanied by the Secretary to the Ministry of Highways, Ports and Shipping R.W.R. Pemasiri and the Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority Dr. Priyath B. Wickrama.
At the tour, the Chairman of SLPA Dr. Priyath B. Wickrama briefed the Vice Chairman of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Wencai Zhang about the ongoing development at the Port of Colombo.
The delegation inspected the Colombo Port Expansion Project from the new control tower of the Port of Colombo. Chief Engineer (Planning and Development) SLPA A.A.S.R. Abeysiriwardana was also present.
