AIA Wealth Planner Swarna clinches MDRT ‘Top of the Table’ status again

In 2013, based on the previous year’s performance, AIA Insurance, (earlier known as AVIVA NDB Insurance), produced 17 Wealth Planners who met the stringent criteria required to attend the greatest gathering of financial services professionals in the world - the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) conference held annually. This one-of-a-kind event will be held in June, in Philadelphia, USA this year.  

MDRT membership is recognised internationally as the standard of sales excellence in the life insurance business and ample proof of exemplary performance combined with a high standard of ethics, knowledge, service and productivity. ‘Court of the Table’ members achieve three times the MDRT base requirement and ‘Top of the Table’ members, double that. The highly prestigious positions serve as additional incentives for members to increase their productivity.

The only Sri Lankan to achieve ‘Top of the Table’ extraordinary level of performance for year 2012 was D.G.A. Swarna, AIA’s Best Wealth Planner, who  achieved ‘Top of the Table’ status for performance in 2009 and 2011 as well. 2012 was the fifth consecutive year that Swarna was adjudged AIA’s Best Wealth Planner for Life Insurance. She is a MDRT Life member, having achieved MDRT membership since 2000.  

AIA Insurance boasts of two other MDRT highfliers. Ajith Fernando, a long-time outstanding performer, was ‘Top of the Table’ for the performance year 2010 and is a MDRT life member while Priyantha Hapuarachchi attached to Colombo RO 1 was an MDRT member for 10 years and reached the level of Qualifying & Life membership.  

In addition, 19 Wealth Planners won the LIMRA International Quality Awards clearly demonstrating that the calibre of AIA Wealth Planners is on par with the best in the world.  Winning an IQA highlights a Wealth Planner’s ability to ensure outstanding persistency and is a hallmark of quality selling in life insurance worldwide.
