Akbar Pharmaceuticals on a winning spree at NASCO Awards

Further strengthening its position as a forerunner in national sales as it is in the pharmaceutical industry, Akbar Pharmaceuticals registered an unprecedented victory winning a total of five awards (two Gold and three Silver awards) in the Health Care category at the recently concluded SLIM/NASCO 2012 awards ceremony held at Water’s Edge, Battaramulla on 27 July.

Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) hosts the NASCO Sri Lanka’s premier event recognising excellence in sales, as a means of rewarding sales professionals and motivating them to greater heights of achievement.

Kasun De Silva and  Pradeep Jayamuni won Gold awards in the Territorial Manager and Front Liner Categories respectively while Silver awards were won by Sadat Lameerudeen (Territorial Manager Category), Shahan Chandraratne, (Executive Category) and Dilshan Mallikarachchi (Front Liner Category). The first pharmaceutical company in Sri Lanka to receive the prestigious ISO 9001 2008 award for quality management, Akbar Pharmaceuticals created history In 2011, when it commissioned for the first time in Sri Lanka, a fully equipped state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for producing respiratory care products. 

The company currently represents well known medical manufacturers and brands in Japan, Australia, India, Pakistan, Germany, Switzerland, UK and USA.
