Halwitigala Tea Factory situated in Hiniduma, Galle, established an all-time record price for a BOP1A grade at Rs. 545 per kg at the weekly tea auction concluded on 3 February. This line of tea was purchased by Ceylon Plantations International Ltd. HalwitigalaTea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
