All time record price for Hingalgoda tea

Hingalgoda Tea Factory managed by Tea Small Holder Factories Plc once again has established  an all time record price of Rs. 645 per kg on a line of pekoe dust grade at the weekly Colombo Tea Auction concluded on 30 January 2013, surpassing the previous record price of Rs. 630 per kg.

Hingalgoda CTC teas are synonymous for their colour and thick and bright liquoring standards and are keenly sought after by a range of reputed tea buyers week in week out at the auctions.

This line of tea has been purchased by Stassen Exports Limited and the sale was conducted by tea brokers John Keells PLC.
