Carolina Estate managed by Watawala Plantations PLC established yet another all-time record price of Rs. 640 for a line of CTC Medium Grown BPS grade at this week’s tea auction held on 8 March. This same factory holds the record for the PF1 grade in the CTC Medium elevation, which was established two weeks ago.
The purchase was made by Van Rees Ceylon Ltd. and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
Dunsinane Estate which comes under the purview of Elpitiya Plantations PLC established an all-time record price for a CTC High Grown PF1 grade at Rs. 660 per kg at the weekly tea auction concluded on 8 March. This line of tea was purchased by Unilever Lipton Ceylon Ltd. and sold by tea broker John Keells PLC.
Galpaditenne Tea Factory situated in Lellopitiya, Ratnapura, established yet another all-time record price at the weekly tea auction of 8 March by securing an attractive price of Rs.600 per kg for a BP1 grade in the Low Grown CTC category. This factory also holds the record price for the OF grade in the Low Grown CTC category. This line was sold by tea broker John Keells PLC.
Rothschild Estate situated in Pussellawa established an all-time record price for a CTC Medium Grown BP1 grade at Rs. 620 per kg at the weekly tea auction concluded on 8 March. This line was purchased by Zenra Teas and sold by tea broker John Keells PLC.
