The website was presented the Gold Award for the Best Advertising and Marketing Website in Sri Lanka, as well as the Silver Award in the overall category at the 2015 BestWeb.lk awards conducted by the LK Domain Registry.

More than 600 entries of local websites were evaluated by a judging panel comprising of 25 leading IT and e-commerce professionals and academics for these awards. Websites were judged on multiple aspects including appeal and attractiveness, functionality, information content, speed, security, ingenuity and speed of response.

“As a distinctive example of the work of the internationally celebrated architect Moshe Safdie, and as a game changing property development project in South Asia, Altair has attracted buyer attention in many countries such as the USA, UK, Australia and Dubai,” said Pradeep Moraes, Director of Indocean Developers. “In that context, our website is an important source of information and a vital marketing tool. We are therefore delighted that our website has been adjudged among the best in Sri Lanka.”

Projected to be a benchmark for contemporary living in Sri Lanka, Altair will bring a new dimension in aesthetics to Colombo’s skyline. It is intended to be a one-of-its-kind development in South Asia in terms of architectural design, structural engineering, and living experience.

Comprising of two tower blocks, one of 63 storeys which leans in to a taller, 68-storey tower, Altair will offer its 400 apartments spectacular views of the Beira Lake, the Indian Ocean and the city of Colombo. The development’s 1.5 million square feet of high-end eco-friendly living space will be supported by 40,000 square feet of supportive up-market retail space. The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.
