Ambassador of Belgium meets Ceylon Chamber of Commerce members

Sri Lanka - Benelux Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce organised a meeting with the Ambassador to Sri Lanka (Resident in New Delhi) Pierre Vaesen recently.

The meeting offered an opportunity for members to discuss matters pertaining to trade related, establish contacts and network, introduce their company products and services and also share views for further development of trade between Sri Lanka and Belgium.  Ambassador Vaesen highlighted the potential sectors to improve imports in to Sri Lanka such as pharmaceuticals, bio technology, chemicals and computer components and apparel, rubber, tea, spices as exports from Sri Lanka.  Rapid growth of tourism and logistical services were also discussed at the meeting.  Vaesen is the ambassador of Belgium for Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives.
