The 23rd Annual General Meeting of The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Sri Lanka was held on 29 September, ushering in the new Board of Directors for 2015/2016. Asanka Ratnayake was re-elected for a second term as President of the Chamber. Ratnayake currently serves as Group Director for Hayleys Advantis Ltd., the Logistics and Transportation arm of Hayleys PLC. Responsible for seven locally-based and one overseas-based strategic business unit, he possesses more than two decades of experience in the field of logistics and transportation and also serves as the Vice President of the Sri Lanka-France Business Council.
Founded in 1992, The American Chamber of Commerce brings together over 379 members representing 254 leading Sri Lankan and American companies based in Sri Lanka, engaged in trade, business and investment activities between Sri Lanka and the United States of America.
