AmChamHosts luncheon on private sector partnerships with USAID

The luncheon meeting on Private Sector Partnerships with USAID: Past Successes and Future Opportunities organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AmCham) was held on 28 Februaryat the Moonstone and Amethyst, Hilton Colombo.



USAID Mission Director James Bednar was the Guest Speaker at this event. Chief of Party –VEGA/BIZ Jennifer Brinkerhoff and Brandix East-Managing Director Theodore Gunasekera shared their views on the VEGA/BIZ+ Project and the experience on private sector partnership with the USAID respectively.

The presentation focused on USAID’s Global Development Alliance (GDA), USAID’s establishment in Sri Lanka, USAID’s current focus and existingPublic Private Alliance.

The forum opened new opportunities for the private sector to partner USAID and other relevant projects. US Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Patricia A. Butenis was among the distinguished guests and leading private sector representatives that attended the program.
