Ansell acquires glove manufacturer Hands International

Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, announced the acquisition of Hands International, a privately-held company, located just outside of Colombo. This acquisition is another step to integrate backwards and build the company’s knitting and cut and sew manufacturing capabilities.
Hands International is a manufacturer and supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE), with approximately 1500 employees. The company specialises in producing knitted glove liners, but also manufactures certain coated, cut and sew styles and liner cotton fabrics materials. Hands International was founded in 1992.
“Hands International has been an important supplier to Ansell for more than 25 years, during most of this time an exclusive supplier to Ansell,” said Ansell CEO Magnus Nicolin. “The manufacturing production capabilities of Hands International, specifically as it relates to glove liners, will significantly benefit Ansell and our HyFlex family of products.”
