Arpico felicitates star performers of local manufacturing & distribution sector

Arpico felicitated the star performers of its local manufacturing and distribution sector at Club Palm Bay Marawilla recently. The awards night was themed ‘Seize Your Glory’, with Richard Pieris PLC main Board Director and Managing Director of the local manufacturing and distribution sector Sunil Liyanage as Chief Guest. This time the awards ceremony recognised and rewarded 60 of the top performers in the local manufacturing and distribution sector, shining the spotlight on their remarkable achievements. The sector’s achievements contribute to the Group’s standing as one of Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerates.” Outlining the Richard Pieris Group’s active involvement in the country’s economy, Liyanage added that it was a privilege to honour the top performers of the local manufacturing and distribution sector, in the backdrop of their contribution and commitment to the company’s success, while maintaining the Group’s high standards. The star performers were Area Sales Supervisor K.M. Shantha Bandara, Area Sales Coordinator Lakdil Fernando, Area Sales Executive Nilanka Weerapana, Area Sales Executive Ruwan Chaminda, Area Sales Coordinator Janaka Laksiri, PU Sector Head of Category Thushara Egodage, Area Sales Coordinator Sameera Akalanka Thennakoon, Senior Production Manager Jayanath Alwis, Senior Business Development Manager Shiham Kalib, Senior Business Development Manager Dilshan Abeysekara, Area Sales Executive Sameera Perera, Senior Area Sales Manager M.K. Silva and Production Manager K.D.R.S. Chulanath. Commenting on the underlying factors behind the impressive performance, Factory Director of the Local Manufacturing and Distribution Sector Lalith Wijesinghe said: “We offer a wide range of high quality product lines to the market, including mattresses, water tanks, water pumps, Styrofoam, rubber products, PVC pipes and fittings and furniture, all of which meet stringent quality standards, in line with the Group’s promise to consumers. As a result of continuous R&D and never compromising on the quality standards of our products, we have been able to secure and maintain market leadership in all our product categories.” Commending the star performers, Shantha Kularatne, Director Distribution of the Local Manufacturing and Distribution Sector said: “The superior performance recorded by the sales, marketing and production teams and by our distributors has ensured that our products not only stay on top but also keep raising the bar across the board on a consistent basis. The immense effort you have all put in and the commitment you have shown has resulted in a rise of market share, in turn contributing to the Group’s success. We will continue adding new products to our portfolio in the future and grow from strength to strength with your unfailing support.” The sales conference is a highly anticipated annual event held to recognise and reward high performing employees. The event is aimed at motivating sales staff and challenging employees to achieve the budgets over and above the set target. Gold awards will also be added with certificates, plaques, foreign tours and cash awards in recognition of achievements. During the event, Sanjeewa Anandapathiranage (Finance Manager), Derrick Perera (Head of Marketing), Hiran De Silva (Head of Sales), Athula Wickramatilake (Head of Sales) and Duminda Perera (Head of Sales) share future objectives, and past performances are presented at regional levels, further challenging Arpico’s dynamic sales team. The company’s road map for the coming year is shared.
