The Sri Lanka-Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce announced that the independent audit partner KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co. have completed their audit of the applications.

As Asia Pacific’s most prestigious award for entrepreneurs, it is a regional bench-mark. It honours enterprising men and women in business who have proven their enterprising spirit, whilst not neglecting the social responsibilities that are associated with business leadership.

Further to the evaluation by KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., an International Panel of Judges will select the winners based on a regional company evaluation bench mark and short list on a computer generated marking scheme, which will also include personal interviews at company or factory premises of the applicants, by a Technical Team from Enterprise Asia in Malaysia.

The Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is indeed pleased to have received many applications, vying for this prestigious award. The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2012 will be held for the first time in Sri Lanka on 12 February 2012 at the Hilton Hotel Colombo.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is an effective spokesman of the Sri Lankan business sector. Founded in 1839, the institution has been the focal point for business contacts both locally and abroad for more than 172 years.

It has many specialised committees, affiliated associations and 21 bilateral business councils promoting international business. Its members serve on various institutions and committees set up by the Government and the private sector.
