Asian Alliance annual report wins SAFA BPA Award in B'desh

Asian Alliance Insurance PLC (AAI) was recognised with a Merit Award in the Insurance Sector for the Annual Report for year 2010 published under the theme ‘Transparent’ at the ‘Best Published Accounts (BPA) Awards 2010’ organised by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

The award ceremony was held on 29 November at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh with the patronage of Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Muhammad Faruk Khan.  SAFA Best Published Accounts Award Ceremony is an annual event staged in one of the SAFA member countries each year.

SAFA BPA Award represents SAFA’s recognition and reward for organisations which have achieved excellence in presentation and disclosure of high quality, relevant, reliable and objectively comparable financial statements particularly within the IAS/IFRS framework and other useful information contained in the annual reports.

AAI believes that the award was a result of the professional approach followed in designing the annual report and adhering to the required criterion coupled with the team work.

The objective of designing the report was to project a comprehensive and transparent picture of the financial performance and strength of the company, in an effective manner.

AAI considers the award as recognition to the professionalism they maintain in this highly confidence based industry.
