Asian Paints’ ‘Ranwan Paata’ promo rewards customers and painters

The New Year has brought good tidings for customers of Asian Paints in Sri Lanka with the company giving away gold coins to customers and painters and presenting a brand-new Viva Elite car to the winner of the grand prize in its innovative ‘Ranwan Paata’ promotion. R.K.N Wickremasinghe of Inamaluwa, Dambulla, won the trendy and economical Viva Elite while 52 people including 26 customers who entered the competition and 26 painters who were nominated by them won gold coins of 8g and 4g respectively at the promotion, the first of its kind conducted by Asian Paints in Sri Lanka.  

Two customers and two painters were chosen each week over a three month period coinciding with the festive season at draws conducted by the company at the end of each month. The winner of the Viva Elite was chosen at a grand draw conducted in January 2012.A prominent feature of the competition was that a large proportion of the winners of gold coins awarded by Asian Paints were from areas such as Galenbindunuwewa, Kekirawa, Ukuwela, Pugoda, Dambulla and Jaffna. “The large number of entries we received from all over the country was a strong affirmation of the success of this innovative promotion,” Joseph L. Pulikottil, Asian Paints’ Director/General Manager in Sri Lanka said adding, “While rewarding end users and painters, this promotion enabled us to further improve our engagement with a wide customer segment.”
