Atlas, Sri Lanka’s largest manufacturer and distributor of stationery products recently acquired the country’s oldest and most respected pastel brand – ‘Homerun’.
As Sri Lanka’s number one pastels brand, the acquisition of ‘Homerun’ adds more colour to Atlas’ superior and wide ranging portfolio of stationary products.
Formerly owned by Colour Products Ltd., the Homerun brand is a firm favourite and top of the mind brand among children and adults alike. Established in 1959, the company manufactured a number of products under the Homerun brand, including pastels, crayons, colour pencils, modelling clay and instrument boxes.
“The Homerun brand has been a household name in Sri Lanka for many decades. As the market leader in stationery products in Sri Lanka, we are proud to continue the tradition of a beloved brand, while bringing the Atlas advantage to it,” said Atlas CEO Nirmal Madanayake.
Madanayake and Colour Products Ltd. Managing Director Amal Karunatilake were the signatories to the acquisition.
“As the market leader of stationery products and a company widely recognised for our dedication to quality and innovation, Atlas is firmly committed to bringing the highest quality and widest range of products to our customers island-wide. To this end, the acquisition of a brand as sought after as ‘Homerun’ will enable us to further our goal of inspiring creativity and imagination by offering our consumers yet another premium product,” Madanayake added.
