Ghandy who built it up to a formidable business, pioneering in stainless steel fabrication and designing, aluminium composite cladding, poly carbonate canopies and all kinds of signage.

Ghandy was educated at a premier Catholic School, St. Benedict’s College, Colombo. After graduating as an Engineer, he joined Bonars Ltd. where he served for four years. While providing exemplary service to the State Engineering Corporation, the company also expanded its services by establishing links with mega institutions in the construction sector such as Maga Engineering, Sanken Constructions, etc. With the Sri Lanka Custom House Project, which was awarded by Maga Engineering, and is probably the largest project ever handled in Sri Lanka, the goodwill of the company rose by 100%.

The company looks after the welfare and interests of its employees and their families and also assists low income families by providing employment to their children after leaving school. The children are trained in various aspects of metal craft and then absorbed into the permanent staff of the company.
