BOI Woos Dutch investments

Dr. Lakshman Jayaweera, Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, hosted and briefed a visiting Dutch business delegation led

by Buddhi Athauda, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Netherlands. The Dutch delegation showed interest in a wide range of economic activities including manufacturing of dairy products, gems and jewellery and solar power panels. Discussions centred on the possibility of Dutch investment in the dairy sector, where the Netherlands is a world leader. Also participating at the discussions were senior BOI officials including Dilip S. Samarasinghe, Director (Media and Publicity), Vidharshan Fernando, Director (Promotion and Mega Projects), Nilupul de Silva, Director (Promotion) and Renuka Weerakone Director (Secretariat).
