Brandix has been ranked Sri Lanka’s most valuable export brand in Brand Finance’s 2016 ranking of the country’s leading brands, just released in a special edition of the LMD magazine.
This is the second consecutive year that Brandix, Sri Lanka’s single largest apparel exporter, has headed the ranking of the country’s top export brands, leading a veritable ‘who’s who’ of brands in apparel, tea, IT, manufacturing, food and printing.
Notably, Brand Finance has accorded Brandix a score that is higher than the scores assigned to the top ranked conglomerate brand and highest placed multinational brand in the 2016 rankings.
For the ranking of export and multinational brands, brand attributes rated were corporate vision; reputation and image; leadership and people; and degree of innovation and quality consciousness.
Brand Finance describes its top rated exporters in the 2016 ranking as ‘brands that are marketing Sri Lankan products to the world. To be successful, they must have world-class products and services that are captured by an excellent brand. To be successful in global markets, these companies have high standards and compete with the best in the world. This is precisely what is demonstrated by the companies that head the Export Brands list.”
In December last year, the Brandix Group’s contribution to the country’s export economy was recognised at the highest level with eight Presidential Export Awards. Of these eight Presidential Export Awards, six were in respect of the entire export industry, not only the apparel sector.
The pioneer of the concept of ‘total solutions’ in Sri Lanka’s apparel sector and a preferred supplier to some of the top retail brands in the US and Europe, Brandix is also a benchmark and international award winner for eco-friendly manufacture and commitment to environmental best practice.
