Browns unveils latest range of Olympus Digital Cameras

Brown & Company PLC introduces the latest lineup of innovative Olympus digital cameras with amazing features that caters to professional photographers and beginners who have a passion for photography.  The new range of cameras are designed to suit each individual life style of photography enthusiasts, be it capturing wild life, travel, tough terrain, underwater or professional photography, Olympus has the model that would suit ones requirements.

Olympus was established in 1919. Always being at the leading edge of innovation it established a tradition of quality manufacturing with the development of its microscope. Initially founded solely with the purpose of manufacturing microscopes Olympus continued its development on lenses expanding into the development of camera lenses in 1934. Two years later the Zuiko lens was born. Zuiko lenses were used in the Semi-Olympus, the Olympus-Six, as well as in the Olympus Reflex 2-lens reflex camera. With these cameras, Olympus laid the foundations of its future role as a camera manufacturer.

The most basic of the lineup starts with the Smart range which is positioned targeting the stylish. Consisting of two categories, the stylish compact VG range which starts with a resolution of 12 megapixels to 14 megapixels is specially designed with a Magic Filter to turn scenes of everyday life into extraordinary images with less noise and better colour reproduction. It is equipped with HD movies, 5x zoom lens from a wide angle of 26 mm and image stabilisation in a slim, stylish body. Easy-to-use automatic functions such as I-Auto which enables any user to easily take beautiful pictures, and automatic focus for face detection, makes it is simple to use even for novices.

The VR range which is a stylish High Zoom camera is very similar to the VG series except that it comes equipped with advanced shooting functions, such as HD movies, a full array of Auto functions, and a high-resolution LCD monitor. It also features 12.5X optical zoom lens from a wide angle of 24mm. It is perfect for users who want to take stylish pictures of a wedding or on a trip that require a powerful zoom.

A slightly more advanced category is the Tough range which consists of the TG series of cameras. These cameras are specifically built to withstand the toughest of conditions. Best suited for marine sports, outdoor activities, winter and active sports. A super-tough structure, waterproof to a depth of 10 metres, dustproof to keep out sand and dirt, shockproof against drop impacts from as high as 2 metres, freeze proof at temperatures as low as -10°C and crushproof loads up to 100kg. But behind its tough exterior, this new digital camera is surprisingly delicate looking, now offering the outstanding imaging power of a 14-megapixel CCD as well as powerful 5x zoom and high performance DUAL Image stabilisation An even more advanced model is the Ultra Zoom in the Traveller Series of cameras. In spite of its compact design this has a distinct zoom performance equivalent to that of a 500 mm-equivalent telephoto lens in DSLRs. The complicated operation typical of powerful zoom cameras has also been thoroughly simplified. Thanks to its high sensitivity and powerful DUAL IS, it is a compact zoom camera that anybody can easily enjoy. Get closer to far subjects and even capture facial expression in great detail. Also enjoy transforming your image with a finish like that of watercolour paintings, and another feature is it allowing you to shoot photos with a luxurious feel created by added twinkling lights.

The Compact Ultra Zoom in the same Traveller series features two imaging engines, allowing for parallel image processing and making possible what was unachievable until now. For instance, simultaneous recording of Full HD movies and 16M photos or simultaneous recording of two movies. Offers a brand new “Photo & Movie” style by combining the best of the 24x zoom and Multi-Recording functions.

The Pen series is another innovation from Olympus. Specifically designed to provide photo buffs with SLR quality and ultra-compact convenience, the new PEN is a lens interchangeable camera that boasts a compact body with a stylish metal casing.
