Brown & Company Plc announced that its annual report was presented a silver award in the Trading Sector at the 52nd Annual Report Awards competition conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) at a glittering event that took place at Waters Edge in Battaramulla.
Founded in 1959, CA Sri Lanka is one of the country’s most prestigious institutions. The institute provides leadership and insight to the accountancy and finance profession in Sri Lanka as well as globally. The qualified members of CA Sri Lanka are trained to provide financial knowledge and guidance based on the highest professional, technical and ethical standards, thereby assisting communities and organisations to gain long-term sustainable economic growth.
Held since 1964, the CA Annual Reports competition is considered a platform which encourages excellence in the presentation of information covering transparency, social accountability and good governance among diverse Sri Lankan business entities in the field of financial reporting. This competition is considered the most prestigious event for annual reporting in the country and has helped enhance standards in financial reporting, keeping them in line with global standards.
