Brunswick Estate establishes all-time record price for a BP Grade

At the recently concluded Tea Auctions of 22 January 2014, Brunswick Estate had the proud distinction of establishing an all-time record price of Rs. 570 for a BP Grade in the Western High Grown Category. This line of tea was purchased by Mabroc Teas Ltd.
Brunswick Estate is situated at an elevation of 4,100 feet above mean sea level on the Maskeliya Range of mountains on the western slopes of the central hills.
Brunswick enjoys both monsoons and the decennial average rainfall is about 3,900 mm. Temperature varies between 18 degrees centigrade to 23 degrees centigrade.
The Maskeliya Oya meanders through the estate. It is a tributary of the Mousakellie Reservoir, which downstream forms the Kelani River. Maskeliya Oya separates the first four divisions from the balance three as natural boundary.
Brunswick Estate maintains a high standard of manufacture focused on producing good quality teas, which has attribute to this achievement.
