With the dawn of peace prevailing in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan economy has now been rated by world leaders as the best performing economy in South East Asia.

In order to take advantage of this fast expanding market, a mega three day international trade exhibition will be held at ‘The Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center’ on 13, 14 and 15 May 2011 giving businessmen and traders the ideal opportunity to showcase their products.

The event is part of the celebrations of the 100th Milad Mubarak of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS), the Spiritual Leader of the International Dawoodi Bohra Community The Anjuman E Saifi Sri Lanka are the main organizers of the event in association with the Burhaniyah Business Counseling Centre (BBCC), Mumbai. One of the objectives of the event is to promote international trade between Bohras from countries such as India, Pakistan, Dubai, South Africa, USA, UK and Europe.

With Sri Lanka on the threshold of rapid growth after the ending of the war, many opportunities exist for Sri Lankan companies to tie up with foreign counterparts and develop businesses with overseas exhibitors and visitors.

Sri Lanka also enjoys the Free Trade Agreements between India and Pakistan and could be the bridge to supply into the Pakistani and Indian markets with both these countries having limited access to each other directly.

Burhani Expo – SITE 2011 is an excellent opportunity for international traders to develop and expand their businesses in the South Asian region and has already received a nod by President Mahinda Rajapakse, the President of Sri Lanka, who is also expected to attend the event.

Although the exhibitors will be restricted to Bohra companies, the exhibition is opened to the general public and is expected to draw large crowds.
