Canada Bionest Technologies Vice-Chairman François-Philippe Champagne and Switzerland Eco Nest Chairman Rejean Appleby will be in Colombo next week.
The main objective of their visit is to discuss the future progress of the recently launched business venture, ‘Eco Nest Sri Lanka’.
In April this year, Eco Nest launched its operations in Sri Lanka aiming to expand its presence in the Asian continent.
Eco Nest through its parent company in Switzerland represents BIONEST Canada in Sri Lanka. Established in 1997, BIONEST specialises in waste water treatment and has been working on developing an efficient waste water treatment system to combat the contamination of water basins and ground water as well as the misuse of treated water which are currently two major threats to water resources worldwide.
During their short visit they are planning to meet several key government ministers as well as top private and public sector officials to discuss the business opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Eco Nest (Pvt.) Ltd. was established in Sri Lanka through the initiative of Chairman,
Rejean Appleby from Switzerland in response to the post-war economic development activity taking place in Sri Lanka.
Appleby is an international executive with more than 35 years of global business experience. During his career he has worked for a French multinational company, Air Liquide; that supplies industrial gases and services to various industries including medical, chemical and electronic manufacturers. He has spent the majority of his professional life with the Swiss-Swedish electrical giant ABB, participating in its ventures internationally.
As a technology company BIONEST designs, manufactures and markets advanced waste water treatment solutions that have proven themselves by bringing water purification to a standard significantly above global benchmarks.
The outstanding level of water treated by the BIONEST system allows it to be reused and discharged into the ground or into waterways, with no adverse effect on fauna and flora.
With over 22,000 systems installed worldwide, BIONEST is well recognised in Canada, the USA, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, France, the UAE and Qatar.
